Ali's 8th Birthday

Next up, Ali's 8th birthday on May 24th. She had her birthday at Build-A-Bear Workshop this year. Her, 7 of her friends, and her brother and sister of course. We headed down to Bakersfield after school for the scheduled party. It was very exciting for all the kids. My kids just love that place and there were a few of her friends that had never been. Thank you to my friend Marcie for all the help driving and chaperoning the big event to make it all possible. So, we get to the mall and first stop is the bathroom. Marcie had run an errand real quick so it was just me and the kids for a few. I looked like a mama duck with all her little ducklings trailing behind! Tanessa says, "Mom, people are looking at you like you're crazy!" If only they knew! We finally get to Build-A-Bear and the kids get to pick out their animals. Then they do a scavenger hunt throughout the store, followed by a relay race. Luckily, it wasn't very busy so I only had to apologize a couple times. The kids learned a fun new dance and did their heart ceremony. The fun part: picking out the outfits and sticking to the budget. Surpisingly, it went pretty smooth, thanks to the lady in charge. They even did the birth certificates for us so they were ready when we were done. Then we came back home for a fun filled sleepover, complete with pizza, soda, cake, presents, movies, games, and lots of junk food! Needless to say, it was very fun and very tiring. For me, anyway!

Happy Birthday Ali!

We love you!
